About Berkeley Smartphone Study

This app is to determine your eligibility to participate in a UC Berkeley research study on Android smartphone usage. If you live in the Bay Area and are interested in participating, please install this app and answer the questions that it asks you. We will then contact you to let you know whether or not you are eligible for the experiment. If you are eligible, you will be required to attend an in-person setup session with us, for which we will pay you $35 just for showing up. At this initial session, we will further determine your eligibility for a week-long study, and if eligible, we will provide you with an Android phone for you to use during the next week. At the end of the week, you will return that phone to use for a $100. All payments will be in the form of Visa gift cards.
