Named after the ancient Greek muse of history, Clio puts history at your fingertips. With your permission, Clio can detect your present location and guide you to landmarks, museums, and historic sites. Clio also acts as a 'virtual time machine,' allowing a user to see images and videos and hear and read about historic events that happened around them. Each entry is created by our contributors-visit our website to learn how you can add new entries.

We are working to add new features, including interactive walking/driving tours and push notifications.Clio is non-profit and free for everyone. As a result, we depend upon people like you who care about history and culture.
